Cultural impact is measured by the sum of its parts;
every individual,
every home,
every block,
every municipality,
every state,
every country.
Culture is a vibration linked to the pulse of its people, and so it shifts and evolves as they do.
It teaches, heals, and steers us forward,
it permeates, free from borders,
it exists for generations, defying natural law + order.
I see it best through the lens on my camera.
I taste and smell it on the streets + in the markets.
I hear it in the streets and the farmer’s fields.
I feel it when I’m in a new place,
and I long for it when I’m not.
I’d rather not live a life lacking the pursuit of that feeling.

Some people measure wealth in dollars & cents.
I measure mine with memories & passport stamps.
If I die without money when I get old,
I’ll have died a rich man,
with more value than gold.
